To open it, swipe your finger from the bottom to the top of the screen, even if screen lock enabled. From here, you can activate or deactivate Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb and Lock screen orientation. With the slider, you can choose screen brightness, and using the controls in the center of the screen, you can customize music playback.

There are also four buttons at the bottom of the screen. The first activates the flashlight (which is also the camera’s flash). The second gives you quick access to the Clock app, which contains local time, an alarm clock, a stopwatch, and a timer. The third button lets you access the calculator, while the fourth activates the Camera app.

Finally, to activate the iOS 7 Search function, there’s no longer a need to swipe left or click the home button. Simply swipe your finger downward from the center of the screen.
