Feed your Facebook habit on your mobileIf you’re so addicted to Facebook that you have no time to actually go out and meet friends in real life then help is at hand. Aside from the usual zombie-biting-style add-ons, we’re now seeing some genuinely useful applications being developed for the site, particularly in the mobile sphere. For instance, the launch of the Facebook for Blackberry Smartphones software means that you can now take Facebook wherever you go. The app delivers some neat features such as home screen notifications when you have a new event, access to all of your friends and even includes photo sharing.

Telephone is another interesting innovation, which lets you call your friends or send voice messages with the “direct-to-mail” feature right from their Telephone phonebook, created automatically when their Facebook friends add the Telephone application. Other cool mobile apps include I Love My Phone, which displays a picture of your current device on your profile page, and Mobile Video, an add-on for sending video straight from your phone to Facebook.

Check out the ever-expanding collection of mobile Facebook applications here. Granted, there are some real doozies on there, but there’s plenty of evidence that hardcore Facebook users may one day be able to leave the house.
