Twitter is to introduce some new emojis onto its system, which are costing a lot more that you think.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple weeks , it’s one of the biggest days on the American sports calendar this weekend: The Super Bowl. During the event, you can imagine that hundreds of thousands of viewers comment (on Twitter) on the adverts that appear during the breaks, and Twitter has decided to take advantage of this (the’re only human, right?).
According to Ad Week, Twitter has offered big brands the opportunity to create their own emojis, but only if they can afford the seven-figure price tag.
Budweiser is apparenty the latest brand to have purchased not one, but two emojis, as part of a political advert that will be shown on the big day. Pepsi is another to have signed up.
It hasn’t been a great year for Twitter, let’s be honest, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can turn that around with this new secret TINY weapon.
