Our Android Tablet Series: What can I do with my tablet? gives you all the information you need to get the most out of your tablet. In this episode, we’ll show you the best ways to listen to music.

Whether you want to listen to music on the go, or you’d prefer to enjoy it at home over loudspeakers, there are plenty of different ways that your tablet can come in handy, with options to control the volume and manage playlists remotely. You can use your Android Tablet to listen to music directly from your device via streaming, or as a remote control to play music from your computer. Luckily, there are many apps that can help make these functions easier.

Not sure if your tablet is Android? Read our article on how to recognize the operating system on your tablet.

Spotify: streaming music on your tablet

SpotifyThis is definitely one of the easiest program to use, as well as one that will guarantee you one of the largest catalogs of music. If you already know and use Spotify to listen to music on your computer, you can use the same account on your Android tablet. Otherwise, you’ll have to create an account to be able to access Spotify.

With a free account, you can play songs on random shuffle from playlists you’ve created on your PC, but you won’t be able to choose which songs you want to play, and they’ll be interrupted by advertisements every few songs. If you use Spotify enough, it might be worth upgrading to a paid account to avoid advertisements and to be able to choose the songs you want to hear, when you want to hear them, but regardless, it’s still one of the best and most popular music streaming services.

Foobar2000 ControllerAlthough nothing can beat the convenience of a portable tablet, the quality of a tablet’s speakers just aren’t the same as that of a good sound system.
