PC games almost always have a DirectX requirement - it's often 'DirectX 9.0C'. If you're not sure which version you have installed, there's an easy way to check! These instructions will work on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Read on to find out how.

  1. Click on the Start button:
  2. Type 'dxdiag' into the search field, then click on the dxdiag icon that appears:
  3. A window will open with lots of information about your system - here's where you'll find your DirectX version:

That's all you need to find out your installed version of DirectX!

    comment est ce possible que je pouvais jouer a split seconde qui demande directx9.0c et que mon ordi windos 7 me dit que j ai directx 11 et bien cela ne va plus depuis que j ai achete un bete anti virus du non de bitdefender pouver vous m aider svp

    I have direcx 11 and I want to play prototype (first edition) but i cannot open and it said it require direcx 9.0c..do I have to download 9.0c?I try to find in internet but couldn't find it..need help sir..
