Softonic’s App of the Week highlights some of the coolest, unique, and most interesting mobile apps for iOS and Android. Frontback joined iOS users by arriving on Android last week, and it seems like the double selfie photo app is finally ready to make waves.

You may be wondering what exactly a double selfie photo app means. Well, more than just another mobile photo sharing network, Frontback lets you take two photos and meld them into one: one photo with the phone’s front camera, and one with the back camera, pretty self-explanatory given the name. Once the photo’s done, you can share it on Frontback, as well as a ton of other social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr.

The fun of Frontblack lies in the creative ways that you can take and combine photos. If you swipe your finger across the screen when taking a photo, you can change perspective to use either the front or back camera to take both shots. You can also play with camera angles to create some really interesting photos. The beauty also lies in the fact that you can’t import photos– it’s all about what you’re doing right now, and it doesn’t offer filters. As a result, it’s more immediate than Instagram, but less direct than Snapchat.

As far as photo sharing apps go, Frontback has been able to creatively add a new twist on conventional photos, and people’s love for selfies makes Frontback a good contender for the next big social network.
