In this video in our series dedicated to learning more about iOS 7, we present the new Camera app.

Here’s where Apple developers have probably worked the hardest, creating a camera app that’s both easy to use and very complete.

You can select shooting modes by scrolling through the options. The camera lets you create videos, traditional photos (even in HDR mode) and square, Polaroid-style photos. If you own an iPhone 5, you’ll have the panoramic photo option too.

Once you’ve taken a picture, you can edit it by selecting the photo and tapping ‘Edit’. Many editing tools are available, including auto optimization, effects, and cropping, which maintains the aspect ratio and shows the grid to help you apply the rule of thirds. You can select an aspect ratio different than the original with the ‘Constrain’ option.

Lucky owners of the iPhone 5 will have all of these effects at their disposal for video editing too.
