apple-icon.jpgIf like for me your Mac is feeling the weight of time (my home Mac is a G4 iBook with 1.2 GhZ and 256 MB of RAM) then your last resort before definitely dishing out for a new machine is to follow these simple tips from Wired’s How-To Wiki. Among them you’ll find how to remove unnecessary languages and corrupt fonts, ways to speed up your browser and why you should keep your desktop as clean as possible. It also suggests the obvious, if you have a more recent Macbook or an iMac, to install more memory or a new hard drive. Your Mac probably won’t run just like it did in the olden days, but it’ll extend it’s lifespan for a little bit more.
