Google Maps is the latest Google app to get redesigned with bolder colors and slick animations. This brings the mapping app up to date with Google Inbox, Gmail and the company’s other apps.

Beyond just good looks, Google Maps gets a few new features. Navigating the app should be easier with more obvious places to tap to pull up info. Tapping on the “info sheet” at the bottom of the app will bring up details about a point of interest like reviews, photos and more.

Google Maps also lets you make a reservation at a restaurant without leaving the app using OpenTable. The feature is only available in the US at the time of this writing.

There’s also a new transportation choice in addition to walking, public transport, biking, and driving directions. Uber is now integrated into the app so you can schedule to be picked up inside Google Maps. The app will also give you an estimated fare price. You don’t even need to have the Uber app (Android | iOS) installed. Of course, this feature only works in cities where Uber is available.

The update should be rolling out today so check if you’ve got the update. If you haven’t downloaded Google Maps yet, you can do so at the links below.
