Get Vista thumbnails in XP taskbarI’m sure some of Windows Vista’s eye candy would also look great on my XP computer, like those thumbnail previews that show the content of applications sitting on your taskbar. But as I don’t really want to change my operating system just for that, I’ve been browsing the web in search of any possible way to get those thumbnails working on XP too.

The solution is called Visual Tooltip, a simple tool that creates Vista-style thumbnail previews of all the windows and apps opened in your computer simply by hovering your mouse over their title on the taskbar. You can customize the thumbnail’s appearance in many ways, setting its size, adjusting its transparency level and even choosing its colors.

The program also includes a dock with 3D effects to replace the standard XP taskbar.
