Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg (like he needs any introduction) has a version of the Facebook app on his phone and, as you can imagine, it somewhat differs to ours. This was revealed in a live video last week in which the billionaire was using his device to show how the new Facebook Live feature worked – but it wasn’t the feature that got the viewers talking.

As you can see from the video below, Zuckerberg’s device had 3 extra options that the average won’t have seen before: Slideshow (ie, presentations), Music and GIF.

Zuckerberg didn’t make any special effort to hide these options, and simply said that it was a “yellow version”, ie, an internal version for selected employees of the company. These types of trial versions are very common in companies that develop apps, and although you may think nothing of it, these features can give us a great idea of what we can expect to see in the near future.

What we can see (and have seen) is that Facebook is working more and more each day on ways that we don’t have to leave the app in order to perform other activities, therefore it’s not impossible that these sorts of features will come to light. For example, as of summer this year, it’s said that Facebook will be working on its own music platform, similar to that of Spotify.
