ATI Radeon logoIf you’ve ever experienced compatibility issues between your graphics card and a piece of software – especially games – you’ll know how annoying it is to realise there’s nothing you can do but change the card. However, PowerStrip is an excellent little utility that can help you adjust the detailed configurations of your card so that even stubborn programs may work on your machine.

Once installed, a simple menu pops up from the system tray providing access to some 500 controls over your display hardware, including colour correction tools, adjustments over screen positioning and driver independent clock controls. PowerStrip automatically detects when programs are launched and responds by activating specific display settings, gamma adjustments, performance switches and even clock speeds. By giving you control over these settings, you can tinker with it until your graphics card works with previously incompatible programs.

It’s also constantly updated with the most recent graphics card configurations and releases to keep abreast of the latest technology.
