Prevent windows from driving you loopy

Deskloops logoAs far as internet browsing is concerned, tabs have made our lives a lot easier when managing multiple windows. However, when it comes to desktop management, you can soon find yourself deluged by open windows until you can’t even see what you’ve got open along the Windows taskbar.

An excellent way round this is to minimise and connect your windows together with Deskloops so that they form an easily navigable loop around your screen. The loop can be rotated clockwise and counter-clockwise simply by moving the cursor to the edge of the screen and right clicking. The loop works very much like a rubber band – the more windows you open, the bigger it stretches to accommodate them. Once you’ve selected the window you want to use, return to the desktop by double clicking on the Deskloops tray icon and the loop will shift to one-side.

This gives Windows a Mac OS style feel as it compares somewhat with the rotating dial that Macs use to select and open programs. The only problem is that the loop can take a few seconds to ‘wake-up’ and rotate but it certainly makes life easier if you’re constantly wondering what the hell you’ve got open.
