Recent rumors have suggested that Apple’s plan could be to get rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the upcoming iPhone 7. This revelation was recently backed up on Twitter by @OnLeaks, who uploaded a photo of a supposed cover for the new device, explaining to his followers that he acquired them through his boss whom he assures has access to them (see below):

Now, you’re probably thinking what we’re thinking where is the headphone jack? All we see is another opening for what we presume is another speaker.

So how are we supposed to listen to music on the new iPhone?

Maybe the new headphones will connect to the Lightening port (an idea which has also been explored).  Sure, it could be a good idea, having two ports instead of one – it’s one less hole to get fluff stuck in, after all.  Of course, this would mean that Apple would have to come up with new headphones, meaning our old ones would become redundant. With that said, we have no doubt that Apple will be sure to provide us with some sort of adapter with a hefty price tag to “make our lives easier”.

Luckily, we’ve only got one more week until we find out!
