Bethesda Game Studios has announced it is moving on from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which it started designing in 2006 and released in 2011. This announcement confirms there will be no more DLC for the sprawling epic fantasy role playing game.

The silver lining to the end of Skyrim development is the team moving on to a new adventure. It’s most likely that the studio will return to its last franchise, the apocalyptic series Fallout.

Bethesda developed Fallout 3, released in 2008, while another studio Obsidian used the same engine to create Fallout New Vegas two years later. Bethesda has said in the past it always intended to make more than one Fallout game, and treat the series like it does The Elder Scrolls.

Fallout 4 would be massive, as the series has a huge following. So far there are no details, nor any official confirmation of the game.
