Who didn’t want to be an astronaut when they were a kid? I know that I still want to be one now and would do anything for a chance to float above the earth down upon our planet’s majesty. It isn’t the only reason I want to blast off but once astronaut’s starting beaming back photos they’d taken whilst in orbit I was instantly transfixed. Well one astronaut has taken this practice to a whole new level.

You can see what various places around the world look like from space

British Astronaut Time Peake ended a 6 month mission aboard the ISS last June but his blog is every bit worth a look today as it was back then. His photos of earth show that he is a skilled cameraman with an eye for beauty. On top of his standard photo blog he also uploaded a map of the world on to which he is putting photographs that he has taken whilst orbiting above various places in the world. This means that he has gone a long way towards making my dream of exploring the world from space come true. Thanks Tim.

Let us have a look at some of the incredible images he has posted so far. We’d love to hear what you think about them all.
