Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is out on Friday. To celebrate, our editors have picked their three favorite gaming killers – and their games – to review. Welcome to this week’s Click-Swipe-Play.

My choice of assassin is Corvo Attano, the star of Dishonored. Now, technically he isn’t an assassin but the Empress’s bodyguard – but when his ward is killed, he proves to be quite an adept killer in his quest for revenge. Plus he’s magic, which is always a bonus.

Danni’s pick this week is a little more personal, it’s him. That is to say that he likes to play as an assassin in RPGs. Specifically he selected Skyrim and its Dark Brotherhood guild quest, which had him move from common cutthroat to cloaked contract killer.

And finally, Maria went with Aveline de Grandpré from Assassin’s Creed: Liberation. It may not be the greatest game in the series, but that didn’t stop Aveline being memorable. This was thanks to her ability to move between worlds unnoticed thanks to her aristocratic, assassin, and slave disguises – a concept we would like to see make a return to the franchise.

That’s our three for this week, but next time we will be back with some scary games to get you in the mood for Halloween. See you then.
