It’s no secret that iPhones are notoriously safe devices, and very rarely come under threat to the various viruses or hacks that Androids regularly suffer.

Apparently, there are many iPhone users who are not taking full advantage of the available security settings Apple offer, therefore leaving their devices as vulnerable to attack. This device vulnerability is of course heightened if the phone has been jailbroken (in order to install apps from sources other the Apple App Store).

You may be surprised to discover that your iPhone has been hacked

Things that could indicate that you iPhone is unsafe:

-You bought it second hand

-Have left it unattended

-Had the device stolen

-Jailbroken it yourself

Luckily, there’s a new app that has recently surfaced that has the ability to reveal everything regarding your phone’s security settings, including whether or not it has actually been hacked without you knowing.

The app is called Security and System Info, and it provides (in detail) crucial information about your iPhone as far as security is concerned. Unlike other similar apps, it has the ability to perform a jailbreak and anomaly detection, as well as make sure the device contains no signs of malware.

The launch of this app comes at a good time, as Apple recently suffered a text message and email virus which was supposedly sent from the App Store.

If you receive this message or anything similar, it is very important that you don’t click on it. Apple has apparently stated that: “The iTunes Store will never ask you to provide personal information or sensitive account information (such as passwords or credit card numbers) via email.
