Applications created to record and analyze your dreams are ironically, getting a bit tiring. However, one new company has decided to go one step further and is now preparing an app that will alert you if someone is using your mattress when you’re not in your bed. Yes, you’ve guessed it – it can detect whether or not your partner is cheating on you.
The invention is called Smarttress, and is a bit more complicated than your average application. For starters, you have to buy the mattress, which comes with a hefty price tag of around $1,750. The mattress comes with a number of sensors that vibrate whenever the bed is in use, measuring the activity, duration, impact and intensity of whatever is going on in there at the time.
The app will only alert you that someone is using your bed while you’re at work – which sadly leaves you with nothing concrete, but your imagination getting the better of you. Experts have apparently already suggested that instead of purchasing expensive beds and secret cameras, potential buyers should get themselves to couples therapy – which apparently works out cheaper.
